Jamie DeMoney and Jeremy Plowman

URBANDALE, Iowa -- Six weeks into the year 2010 and the top five teams in the country remain the same, according to the National Prep Basketball Poll released Monday morning.

All five squads either went unbeaten or did not play last week. The most impressive showing was by No. 4 St. Patrick (Elizabeth, N.J.), which traveled to Santa Ana, Calif., and whipped regionally ranked Taft (Woodland Hills, Calif.), 91-64, at the Nike Extravaganza.

Ryan Acquavita, Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel

Boca Raton - For Brandon Knight the points don't matter. The senior guard scored a game-high 48 points, but did so in a losing effort as Winter Park defeated Pine Crest 87-76 at the Old Spice High School Showcase at Florida Atlantic University, which was aired nationally on ESPN2.

No. 4 St. Patrick throttles WC No. 3 Taft
Mitch Stephens, MaxPreps.com

SANTA ANA, Calif. - If the St. Patrick's Celtics from Elizabeth, N.J. was distracted over possible expulsion from its state boys basketball tournament , they sure didn't play like it. If they were trying to make a statement with a resounding 91-64 win over nationally-ranked Taft (Woodlands Hills, Calif.) in the final game of the Nike Extravaganza Saturday night, they sure weren't talking about it.
